Kry’s response is a care model that integrates digital and physical healthcare to improve access, patient experience and efficiency. The company is now taking the next step in that strategy by bringing its entire European operation under a single brand. 

This means Livi, the name under which Kry currently operates in the UK and France, will rebrand to Kry. The name comes from the Swedish word kry, meaning to feel well and in good health. At the same time, the company continues to invest in growth, including the opening of a its first medical centre in Paris this September. 

Kry currently operates in Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom and France. In 2024, the company accounted for nearly 10 per cent of all remote consultations in France and grew by 35 per cent. Across its markets, Kry has delivered more than 14 million patient consultations, operates around 60 physical healthcare facilities and employs approximately 4,000 healthcare professionals. 

> “We have grown from being a Swedish digital challenger into a large and established healthcare provider across several European markets. Kry is also a very well-known company and is seen as an innovator and pioneer at the intersection of technology and healthcare. When operating across multiple countries, it is not enough to deliver great care locally. There is also value in being clear about who we are as a European player. A shared brand makes it easier to build trust and collaborate with partners across borders,” says Kalle Conneryd Lundgren, CEO of Kry. 

> “This is not just a rebrand. For patients, it means familiarity and reassurance. For healthcare professionals, it means working within a more connected system. For us, it is about clearly demonstrating that we are scaling what we do across multiple countries. We have the same technology platform and ways of working across Europe, so it feels right to carry the same name everywhere.” 

The change comes at a time when healthcare systems across Europe face remarkably similar challenges. 

> “Virtually every European healthcare system is grappling with the same issues: rising demand for care and limited resources within an outdated system. Doing more of the same is simply not enough,” says Kalle Conneryd Lundgren. 

> “Our view is that access and quality are not only about having more doctors. It is about how healthcare is organised – combining new technology that did not exist when many healthcare systems were designed with teamwork and collaboration across digital and physical channels. That allows us to increase capacity, reduce waiting times and ensure patients receive the right care from the start.”

Over several years, Kry has developed a model in Sweden where digital care and physical clinics work together seamlessly. That same model now underpins the company’s expansion into other European markets. 

In France, Kry continues to invest in both digital and physical healthcare. In September, the company will open a new medical centre in Paris as part of its continued effort to scale its care model across Europe. The ambition is to broaden the offering further and strengthen its presence through additional digital and physical care channels. 

> “What we have built in Sweden demonstrates that it is possible to combine accessibility with efficiency, quality and continuity of care. That is the model we are now taking to additional markets,” says Kalle Conneryd Lundgren.

The change means that the Livi brand will be gradually phased out in the UK and France over time. The wider business will otherwise remain unchanged.

This is not about starting again, but about building on what already exists – with greater clarity about who we are and with pride in bringing Swedish innovation to more people across Europe,” says Kalle Conneryd Lundgren.
