Livi acquires VIX Digital

Last updated:
I’m pleased to announce today that Livi has acquired our long-term partner VIX Digital, bringing on board some of the most experienced NHS systems developers in the industry.

Livi has worked closely with VIX Digital for several years, and VIX CTO Tony Yates and I go back even further, having worked together on a number of digital transformation projects for the NHS. Tony brings to the Livi executive team his extensive experience designing world-class health technology for the NHS and DHSC.

VIX Digital helped deliver some of the largest digital programmes to date in the NHS, including the interoperability foundations that underpin integrated urgent and emergency care, the technical strategy of NHS 111 online and NHS.UK. With the recent release of the new NHSX digital transformation framework, the drive for a significant and effective digital transformation of NHS services is gaining momentum. Having Tony and his team on board further strengthens our expertise and fixes us at the cutting edge of this change, able to offer our NHS partners the most effective digital solutions that work for clinicians and patients.

Tony’s team has already been busy. Our new Livi Practice model, for example, allows patients to be booked into a Livi appointment when presenting at a physical urgent treatment centre, or alternatively as a disposition from NHS 111. Livi clinicians will deliver a consultation, ensuring access to patients’ medical records, and will integrate with local providers, pathways and processes.

We will further expand our developer team over the coming months, so please do get in touch if you would like to work with us on some of the most transformative and exciting projects in health.
