The collaboration enables Livi GPs to refer patients directly to CloudFit when physical exercise and nutrition interventions would support their health outcomes. CloudFit then provides continuous lifestyle support between medical appointments, with patient data fed back to clinicians through performance dashboards for ongoing monitoring. This "always-on" model addresses the long-standing challenge of lifestyle adherence between clinical appointments. When a GP advises a patient to improve diet, increase exercise or manage stress, CloudFit provides the practical tools, education and accountability needed to follow through.

Sickness absence among education professionals is escalating - and fast. Employees are now losing an average of 44 days of productivity a year due to health-related issues, up from 35 days just five years ago.

So, what’s driving the surge in absences, particularly in education? Unsurprisingly, stress, depression, and related mental health conditions are among the leading causes, costing schools across England and Wales over £400 million annually. The emotional toll of teaching, combined with ongoing challenges like Ofsted inspections, funding cuts, and staffing pressures, has left many educators feeling stretched beyond capacity.

Another significant but often overlooked factor is menopause-related absence. The National Education Union has flagged this as a growing concern, with menopausal symptoms increasingly leading to time off work. Considering that 75 percent of school personnel are women, and a large proportion are in their 40s and 50s, this is a critical issue. The union is now calling for mandatory menopause training for school leaders to help address the gap in understanding and support.
